Got bottle caps?

I have lots of bottle caps sitting in a cup at home. I have been trying to come up with some uses for the caps. I came across this idea of crocheting over the bottle caps to make a trivet. I haven't tried this yet because I don't know how to crochet.

My Amphetamines and My Pearls has taken the idea of recycling and incorporated it into the trivet design. I learned that trivets have two uses; prevents water rings on the table and keeps hot drinks hot. I learn something new everyday.

Mikalah at Posy the Porcelain Pig used small pieces of fabric to cover the bottle caps. They almost look like buttons.
Great ideas fellow bloggers. Now I'm off to work on my own designs.

Name these aprons

I have 3 new apron designs to debut at the Covedale's Annual Arts and Crafts show this Saturday.

Lea Serron suggested that we give the apron line a better name than just aprons... Here are her suggestions

  • Foodie Fashionista

  • Cuisine Couture
I can't decide which name we like best. I need your help to pick a great name. Just leave a comment with your name suggestions.

Thanks to all the wonderful Purdy friends!

Custom order week

This is the material I used for the wrist purse
My friend called me to place an order for her co-worker. She specifically wanted 3 pink, purple and lime green wrist purses for her daughter and her friends. Hmmmm.....Not too common color scheme. But I was up for the challenge. So off I went to shop the isles of the local thrift store. Day 1 equaled lots of looking but not finding what I needed. The next day I set out for another store on the other side of town but my google map directions were not very helpful. End result; I didn't find the store. I ended up finding material in each of the colors and sewing them together to make one piece of fabric. The end product was cute and fitting for a 13 year old girl. Unfortunately, I forgot to get a picture of the finished purse because I was so excited to get the order to the customer.

My friend delivered the wrist purses for me. She told me that her co-worker LOVED the purses.  Yay.
